DISTRIBUTION OF CLOTHES

DISTRIBUTION OF CLOTHES

Food, Cloth and Shelter are the three basic need of common people. Many among India’s poor and underprivileged lack adequate clothing. UTTORAN takes a step to provide clothes to the peoples in rural and slum areas of Bankura. Mainly old usable clothes, collected by our members are used in this project.

How it works:

1. We receive clothes from household and hostels of different college/universities.

2. Clothes are sorted out according to size, gender and type and then washed and ironed.

3. Each time we do a survey of the proposed villages prior to distribution.

4. Clothes are distributed among some selected people.

5. On special programs we distribute rags and warm clothes among the people who live under the sky to help them fight the winter.

6. Clothes, not suitable to donate are sold to vendors and the money is used to buy new clothes.
